Prof. Andrushchak Anatoliy

Andrushchak Anatoliy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Nanomaterials Science of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, Ukraine.

Scientific work of Professor A. Andrushchak is involved in research in optics and laser physics, optoelectronics, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, as well as electro-, piezo-, acousto- and nonlinear optical and quasi-optical (terahertz) studies of anisotropic and nanostructured materials.

In 2009 he defended his doctoral dissertation, which in 2014 was nostrified at the Wroclaw Polytechnic (Poland) in microsystems electronics and photonics. He was awarded the Professor's academic degree in 2012.

Professor Andrushchak A. successfully completed three international projects of the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center, the European Grant of the Seventh Framework Program FP7-PEOPLE-2010-IIF and a number of state budget projects funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. From 2018 to 2023 he is the Principal Coordinator of the international IMAGE grant of the Horizon-2020 Program of the European Union, in which Lviv Polytechnic National University became the coordinating organization for the Staff Exchange program H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017 for the first time in Ukraine. In the frame of this IMAGE grant the high-tech developments which are based on innovative studies of crystalline and nanostructured materials are actively developing and implementing with the involvement of scientists from France, Germany and Poland.

Professor Andrushchak A. has published more than 250 scientific and technical publications, including more than 120 scientific and technical articles, 16 copyright certificates and patents, H-index is 20. In 2012, he has published a textbook "Electrodynamics of Information Systems". In 2019-2021, Andrushchak A. has published a monograph in two volumes: "Spatial anisotropy of induced optical effects in crystalline materials", which is also translated into English.
