Dr Karim BOUCHOUIT
Karim Bouchouit is a professor at the higher normal school of Constantine and head of the department of physics and chemistry. Before arriving at the higher normal school of Constantine, he was a professor in the department of chemistry at the Faculty of Science of the university of Jijel. In 2008, he received his PhD in co-supervision in physics and chemistry from the universities of Angers (France) and Constantine (Algeria). His PhD doctoral thesis was supervised by Professors Bouchta Sahraoui (Angers, France) and Noureddine Benali-Cherif (Constantine, Algeria). His published work addresses a wide range of issues in the fields of materials science, X-ray diffraction on single crystals, and the second and third order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties using the Second and Third Harmonic Generation (SHG and THG). He has also worked on the nonlinear optical properties of highly conjugated electronic organic compounds and coordination complexes. He was interested in finding the origin of the nonlinear optical (NLO) properties and the chemical structure of materials.
